Title: [non-i30] Struggling on cold start
Post by: Jenson on February 29, 2024, 18:20:12
Hi. I hope you are all keeping safe and well.

I have a 2015 diesel with the Bosch n2362 fuel filter, which is compatible with the following vehicles:
HYUNDAI i40 Estate (VF) (Year of Construction 07.2011 - ...)
HYUNDAI i30 II Hatchback (GD) (Year of Construction 06.2011 - ...)
HYUNDAI i40 Saloon (VF) (Year of Construction 03.2012 - ...)
HYUNDAI i30 II Estate (GD) (Year of Construction 06.2012 - ...)
HYUNDAI i30 II Coupe (GD) (Year of Construction 05.2013 - ...)

On the first start in the morning it takes a good 8 seconds or so to start the engine. after the first start, every start during the day is quick.  even in the evenings. But the next day it takes ages to start. This only started happening at the beginning of this year.

I changed the fuel filter because I was told there might be air in the system but there is absolutely no difference.

My fuel filter has no manual pump, how am I supposed to get rid of air locks?

Thanks.

If you had a fuel air lock the car wouldn't start or run properly in the first place, look elsewhere, a code reader may help.
