My 2012 GD i30 CRDi has now had its first service (12 months – 10,000 miles). All was fine.It was interesting to find that the total cost of £139 inc VAT was £23 lower than the cost of the first service for my previous FD i30 CRDi in 2011 which was carried out by the same dealer. Labour costs and work content were identical – but all the parts were lower priced – especially oil - which was £19 less.
To maintain warranty you have to have whichever comes first - time or mileage.
1 year IS correct for a diesel.
Quote from: Shambles on May 30, 2013, 21:58:001 year IS correct for a diesel.Ah ok so its 1 year but how many miles then? is it 10000 or 20000 because 10k seems to be not a lot for a diesel
Well I believe your 2012 model is a 20k interval. My 2008 is 12.5k and others inbetween have (iirc) been 10k.What does your own service booklet say about this?Ninja'd by Dazz

I need clarification on this My car will be serviced on November 2013 ( first annual check I will clock about 12000 miles) then 2nd ( routine service will be when vehicle is 2 years old or 20K miles -- 20k will apply in this case I will clock it on about June- July 2014) so the question is when 3rd ( annual check) service will be due? will it be when the vehicle will be 3 years old ( November 2015 ) or a year from 2nd service ( June-July 2015?)
However, the service schedule i got at the first service shows:12 months 10 k24 months 20 k36 months 30 k48 months 40 k

I guess the 10k, 30k, 50k etc should be marked as "interim" in which the oil/filter may or may not get changed.
Just been having another look at this. Now the service schedule book shows as follows:12 months interim maintenance check.24 months or 20k miles (whichever occurs first) no service description provided.36 months interim maintenance check.48months or 40k miles (whichever occurs first) no service description provided. It also says:Each year (12 months) If at the interim the car has covered less than 10k the oil and filter is replaced. So if 10,001 you don't but have to wait util the next service? However, the service schedule i got at the first service shows:12 months 10 k24 months 20 k36 months 30 k48 months 40 kSo i'm now confused re time period as it would indicate in this case if you don't do mileage then the 3rd service would be 3 years from purchase not 12 months from last service.Anyone got a definative answer!
That iswhat I would like to know ;/ I have send email to hyundai but they just provided me schedule in pdf ;/ anyone knows? eye30 on page 1 it says:Maintenance intervals occur every 12 months, this is from the date of first registration of the vehicle and thereafter from the date or mileage the vehicle was last serviced
Now Im confused
I did ask but thats what they said I send them 2 emails today and I have asked them for official reply regarding this :/
Ill update this when I got reply...
I have asked them if thats the case why there is no mention about this 10k 30k requirement in service book also asked them why ( as shown here http://imageshack.us/scaled/large/211/scanrd.jpg ) in service book its say if vehicle cover 20k in first 12 months the maintenance check is not required. Now Im confused
