Hi all, I have a 2 month old 2015 SR premium i30 (petrol). I am noticing when reversing, the on screen display showing reversing camera image sometimes skips and lags. Sometimes this lag is 0.5 sec to the point if I were to hit something, it would be too late before it showed up on the screen. I have brought it into the dealer to check it, but as usual, they said they could not reproduce the fault.
Has anyone else noticed that their reverse camera on screen picture lags/skips, or is this normal?

No camera in the wife's base model tourer so can't help, but seems crazy to have a lag for the reason you stated.
I hate no fault found/ unable to reproduce fault! :fum:

My current KIA Venga and my previous Venga and i30 were all OK - no lag or freezing at all.

No lag, stutter or skip here (UK Style Nav) but there is the occasional jerk behind the wheel ;)

Don't worry, so do I.

'shambles
Sexting is already illegal - they should add jerking to the legislation.....

Our GD Elite has a slight lag sometimes... But.the GPS software died and they changed the whole head unit... Problem gone... I would have thought they could have reinstalled the software, but hey it must have been easier to replace the whole head unit!

I do notice slight lagging sometimes. It's mainly when you first put car into reverse, the camera takes a bit of time to keep up and it feels like a freeze frame effect when suddenly you realise that you're closer than you thought. I think the head unit is quite good but just can't handle with too much going on at once, so I've become familiar enough with it to just give it time to catch up.

And it is amazing when you grab the person in charge and show them, how they can detect the fault when your sitting next to them pointing it out......
I'm hoping I don't have to take this approach tomorrow with the i40......
