Second day going well for the team, VW leader Seb Ogier crashed yesterday and incurred a 5 minute penalty dropping him out of first place, restarted under rally 2 rules today but crashed heavily on SS8 causing the stage to be cancelled. The crew are fine but were taken to hospital for precautionary checks.

Neuville has pedalled his i20 up to 3rd and is challenging Briton Kris Meeke for 2nd - approx 4 seconds between them.

Sordo is sitting 4th currently with Bouffier 9th in his debut for the team
