Title: Clock running fast
Post by: druggist on February 27, 2011, 02:52:04
I have an MY11 SX with Bluetooth on the audio.

My problem is that the clock on the radio unit runs fast by about 15-20 seconds per day. Now I am old enough to realise that once upon a time that was pretty good, but these days even 2 bob watches are more accurate than that.

Anyone know a way to adjust so that it becomes more accurate?

I'm not sure you can fix it your self mate, sounds like a warranty fix to me.  or possibly you could give it a Valium to slow it down a little.  well its worth a try.

My clock syncs to the FM radio via RDS, don't know if that is the default or whether you have to set the options to do that

You guys don't get an option to adjust the clock automatically from RDS?

If I set mine to auto then the DST changeovers make it go all to pot though!  Aye out by hours I mean!

Often that's the fault of you local radio stations not doing the changes on time. But if it persits after a day or so maybe there is a firmware fix. Mine switched OK in the autumn.

I won't ask you blokes how to fix the suspension if it gets sloppy. You'll be suggesting little blue tablet starting with V.

We don't have the ability to sync our time to radio stations via RDS yet down under. Sounds like a great idea.

Sloppy suspension should only ever be fixed by using railway bits - ask any rallyist :D lol

What shows up in the setup menu, under RDS and then "Clock Setting", or don't they exist in your setup ?

Had similar problem with my clock time completely wrong in auto but here in Spain the locals don't seem to know what time it is anyway!
The adjustment is not where you would expect it to be. Try SETUP scroll to RDS scroll to TIME and then there should be an option for manual/auto Highlight MANUAL and then readjust the clock
