I got the wife's car tinted today.

35% on the passengers windows and 20% on the hatch side windows and the rear.

Looks sweet.

Hopefully the darker tint on the rear window will keep the car cooler.....The lower light through the back window certainly makes the side windows look darker.

  I like all mine the same but I can see the advantage of doing it your way as well, especially in a hotter place..

You don't really notice the difference, unlike on the ones where the rear half of the car is 20% and the front windows are 35.

Hopefully the rain doesn't eventuate so I can wash it  and post some pictures (being the wife and kids car it needs some love).

Sorry I got confused .. I was thinking rear half of the car... We usually get just the rear window darker (but the rear quarter vents wouldn't be too noticeable like you say
