Hi Guys

Sorry if this has been asked recently, but search came up empty.

Is there an easy way to remove the rear badges (without damaging them) so I can clean in behind them? TIA I find gunk is building up on the bodywork in & around the "Hyundai" & "i30" badges.

FYI - I use "Synpol" to wax my car as it doesn't cut & provides a deep clean to the white finish on my car - its like a liquid cream &   applies / buffs nicely

I have read that Dental floss can work quite well to pull a badge, but I am not sure if it damages the badge. Worth a shot. I generally think that once a badge is off it is very hard to get back with the adhesive tape being heat applied in most cases, once its off.. its off.

thanks for that info. I'd never had thought they were glued on. I assumed they would have had leg type mounts like badges of old.

I ended up using a cotton bud to clean around the lettering....(yeah I know, I'm a tragic eh  )

I've heard it is advisable to take everything off before waxing.
But be very careful because it's easy to drop hot wax on things that were never meant to be smooth in the first place.
I can't personally vouch for this, but do recall reading it on a website once.

fishing line, remove them and place in the bin, none of the fonts match and it looks quite poor.

Waxing your rear DOES sound rather painful, as does having badges there.

Tatooing is becoming popular, unfortunately, what a PITA.
