Nothing has changed in the body shape of all GD models except the front grill so accessories for a 2012 will still fit your 2016, I think the stereo is the only thing to have changed/updated on the interior.

Your link doesn't work for me, imgur :link: Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet is a handy site to use for uploading photos to the forum, once uploaded you just copy/paste the forum code to your reply.

You can also add you car photos to the Gallery :)

Thanks again Craig - just edited, I think that 50KB is a bit too small for an image upload size limit, but what can you do, hey?!

Thanks again -  I shall learn from the mistake

That's why I mentioned using imgur as your host, upload the photo to there and once completed you copy/paste the forum code back here to your reply and you'll have a full size photo :)

With regards to your accessories question, google is your friend. Do some GD i30 accessory searches on Ebay. If you just search i30 accessories on Google, online stores like "Shark Racing" will come up. Apparently they are worth a look. Also, browse threads in modifying your i30 section on this site for ideas. Have fun!

Here is a low cost mod I did on one of my i30's as inspiration..

Congrats!

Change your interior lights to LED (cool white), also your headlamps to white halogens. It will look sportier.

Hello there!

I also just recently got the i30 Active X!!! I got manual... which was a little more difficult to find especially with the end of year clearances.

IMO, the i30 is already really sporty-looking compared to the original i30's that came out years ago... but I've also been pondering on how to make it look even sportier.. here are some of my thoughts!

- vinyl wrapping certain parts of the body (e.g. door handles, side view mirrors, or a pattern of some kind on the bonnet, or sides)
- tinting the windows can give a very nice look.. I've been looking into 3M's crystalline tints which offer impressive Infrared blocking (to keep the heat out), but it's almost double the price of normal tints (e.g. 3M colour stable)
- if you've got the stock steel wheels, i'd recommend putting a set of new alloy wheels of your choice on there to beef up the sportiness of the i30
- Aluminium scuff plates: my i30 came with these black plasticy scuff plates, which are practical, but don't look very sport. there's scuff plates for sale on eBay that are aluminium and sold as an accessory (try searching "i30 GD scuff plate")
- If you don't have them installed already, some LED day-time running light strips on the front of the vehicle would add a sportier look... but some could argue that so many cars have them these days that it can even look a bit tacky.... but I still like the look of them :D

I think that's about it for now..... ENJOY YOUR NEW i30! If you've got any more ideas, please I'd love to hear them because I'm looking to change a few things on my own i30 too, but just only received the car a couple days ago - still haven't set up my Bluetooth yet!!! :P

TREVOR!

We put a badge similar to this on the back of my Wife's tourer. Amazing how many immediately assume it is a higher model when they see that and a few other small mods...

And side decals like this can be made locally by sign writers really cheaply to your design..
