Found an alternative to the Scanguage II.  It has the same features plus a few extras, such as a trip logging capacity with date recording function.  Can record data up to 300 trips.  Seems a bit better priced as well.  Yes it's on eBay.

As to compatability with the i30 I do not have any information.  I would suggest it would be the same as the Scanguage II as the setup seems to be almost identical and uses the same terminology.
