Hi everyone,
Daz has already spread the news I'm getting the new i30 wagon.

I was in two minds to swap as I really loved my cw it was what I called a me car,
but Daz said it was time to swap before the warranty run out.

I liked the drive of the new one, but didn't really like the high bit in the middle of the dash, as I'm short and suffer from claustrophobia, but I think by putting a dash mat on it will over come that. also without the mat I found it  reflective on the windscreen.

cheers Trish

Lucky lady. At least you got another Hy vehicle :goodjob2:

Your current car would be fairly low kms, that'll be a good car for some lucky new owner. :happydance:

Be interesting to see what price they put on it, it's only just run in. Why doesn't that happen when I'm looking for a car. :(

I will be keeping my eye on it, to see how they price it,  you never get what you think your car is worth when you trade i felt ripped off last night could'nt sleep.

daz said don't worry.

I think I will be happy once I get the new one it's just sad to get rid of mine.

I should not of got attached to mine, but I thought it was my last car. so it was my baby.

I take it, Dazz wasn't interested in a private sale. Even in TAS it would be a popular car to sell. Might have  enticed a main lander to buy.

Just enjoy your new car. Having purchased a Diesel, are you planning longer drives than you used to make

@ Phil,

It's a 1.6 Petrol (6.3 L/100km) Most people down here buy Auto.. Hard to sell privately (heaps of cars for sale on the side of the road down here)

@ Lakes,

New Tourer looks smaller than CW because it is rounded, but slightly more luggage and passenger space (but not a lot more)

Great news on the new car Trish, yes everyone over prices their trade ins, people look at what their old car like with sentimental views, unfortunately to a car yard it is just another business transaction.

Thank you everyone for your replies.

I will post pics when I pick her up.

@ Rick I was being too sentimental
I was upset to start with, but now I have started to let go of my feelings for the cw, and looking forward to picking up the new one.

Hi everyone I'm sure Daz as kept you all updated on my new I30.

Well I picked her up,  took her straight home and put her in the garage. I was to up set at leaving my cw behind to drive her. poor thing not her fault.

Next day I took her to the shops, come home and told Daz I want the cw back, I was disappointed in her city performance. no get up and go. felt like she would stall at the lights if I wasn't careful, something the cw never did.

I didn't change from felling like that till a couple of days ago. took her to the shops like I do most days,
and thought  WOW this little girl wants to go today, she just had so much more get up and go. I came home happy.

she has now done nearly 4,000 ks so maybe that's what she needed.

Now I feel much better and am pleased with her, although my heart will always be with the cw, one of the best cars I have every had.

The next fine day we get I will take the pics I promised. I don't believe it is already 7 months.  :)

BTW, we think part of the issue is the hill hold feature, which stops the car rolling back when taking off from an incline. Takes a moment to release the hold, but Trish gives it a few extra revs now.

.. and the fuel economy seems really good.  :goodjob:

Trish@ if you want some extra kick in the 1.6 then maybe Dazz can help you with one of these :link: Gamma 1.6 Engine EX-Power Intake Spacer Kit - Shark Racing

I'll be ordering it next week Dazz, I've been talking/emailing with the guys at Shark for the last month getting as much information as possible, as Tim/Cruiser also said to me spacer kits are amazing and do work, you'll notice the wing over port 2...helps balance the flow between all ports and gets rid of the jerkiness, if you look at the PS and torque curve adjustment you can see the obvious benefits, combine that with an intake kit and you've got yourself a new car :)

Should be better benefits with our 1.6's as well, the Korean ones tested were 103PS versions where ours are 133PS = 135HP.

Note that this mod can also affect warranty due to engine power increase but as the spacer wont be visually noticeable and it can also be easily removed so I'll be putting on this kit :D

Trish seems happier with the performance now. Combination of running in after 4K and getting used to the characteristics of the smaller motor.  :goodjob:

Not a problem Dazz, the 1.6 will loosen up even more once it hits 10k :goodjob2:

Myself having all previous cars being race orientated so I'm always looking for a bit extra :honk: even me little Mitsi Mirage was bombed to the hilt...an absolute rocket that little car was :D
