Title: Converting to LED
Post by: tek88 on April 27, 2022, 12:59:27
Hello all!

I wanted to get some insight on possibly converting my 2017 i30 SR's boring halogen lights to LED's.

Is this legal?
Can I do it myself?
What do I need?
Is there videos or tutorials on this?

Any help is appreciated!

Thank you!

legality depends on which lights you want to change. if your car didnt come from factory with LED or HID low beams its illegal to change them. high beam im not to sure about.

you can do the conversion yourself it is fairly simple.

your i30 should take h7 low beam bulbs and hb3 high beam bulbs. you will also need a set of adapters for your low beam bulbs.

adapters.  :link: H7 (LED) ADAPTERS - KIA, HYUNDAI, OTHERS– iilumo (https://www.iilumo.com/products/h7-led-kia-hyundai-others)
