The car can go up to 2 years or 20k before a service, but it depends on the miles.

So why do they indicate a service after 12 months?

Well basically 1year 10000 miles is health check with recommended oil change
I did serviced my card today changed oil and filter  103 Pounds altogether
They used Magnatec Prof 5w-30 ( I think its Magnatec professional 5W-30 which are made for authorized service centers ( I google it  ) )

I think the Magnatec Professional that you guys get is OK  The regular Magnatec Semi-Synthetic that is more common over here gets a bad rap from some quarters, including a few members...

I called Coventry dealer and they told me that I need an annual service for £199.94, so I called Birmingham dealer mentioned on beginning, they confirmed that my car can go up to 2 years before first service but they recommend to change oil, filters etc for £120. I also checked my service book and I don't know why, but the seller has stamped 12 months check before collection.

I've not long had service at 12 month.
Oil filter change and health check.

Next due at 24 months and then 36 months.
