Title: 90,000 kms old
Post by: Doggie 1 on October 15, 2014, 10:18:20
Jean turned 90,000 kms this week and went in to get serviced as a treat.
She's twenty two and a half months old.  :)
Logbook service including fuel filter, air filter, front & rear wiper blades, $406.93 + own supplied oil.

You'd have to be one of the first GD's to hit the 90k

Every service I have, and this has been the case since the very first, they have reported minor oil leaks around No. 1 injector.
It hasn't got any worse, but shouldn't be there.
They tell me that every 1.6 U2 engine they service, and they do a few, has the same issue.
I did report it to Hyundai under warranty but because they don't conduct the services they weren't that interested.
Have you heard of this issue?
Other than that and the unresolved steering issue, the car has been trouble-free.
Thanks.

Only oil I've seen around the injector is when someone missed the oil fill hole. Occasionally get one weeping from tappet cover gasket but that doesn't go up to injector.

Dueling (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duel) is SO 17th century. It should be forbidden in the forum rules. :whistler:
