There was no pre warning just pulled up and no reverse vehicle has been taken to dealer they are not sure of the fault said it could be an actuator at $4000 + fitting otherwise anew trans at $12000 + fitting anyone seen this before of have a fix

If its out of warranty maybe take it to an independent transmission specialist for some diagnostics.

A bit late replying, but:

I had the DCT fail in my 2015 GD CRDi, with a bit over 300,000kms late last year. Lost all odd numbered gears.

With the dual clutches, one does the odd numbers and the other does even numbers and reverse.

Mine cost a bit over $5,000 to fix (trade price). That was for actuators and clutches, and a new flywheel.

I had mine done at a dealer.  None of the specialist transmission places I went to would touch it, they said that they didn't have the gear and you need Hyundai proprietary software to reprogam the DCT after repairing it.
