I don't very often fall for advertising hype but I recently bought a spray can of ArmorAll Shield for Wheels.

After 6 weeks of use I can confirm that it really does do what it says on the tin. My alloys are keeping much cleaner and it is a doddle to get rid of any brake dust when I wash the car.

I have no idea whether it is available outside the UK though

I just polish the alloys before putting them on in the spring, than all the brake dust comes easy off with just water and carshampoo.
