Engine starts easily and ticks over smoothly when one tries to accelerate the engine cuts out if the ignition key is turned off and then back on the engine re starts easily. No fault codes come up on the fault code reader used by my garage.

have you by chance recently filled up and only happened after refill?

has fuel dropped low in tank, i.e. low fuel light on?

If so, then is it possible of fuel contamination from filling station or filter blockage due to dragging up muck etc
