Just to let every one know that TT have stopped the use of poi warning sounds from their new units, and even done a software update to models like their Start to stop you using them.

An official comment from TomTom on their position, as posted on the PGPSW forum.

TomTom has stopped supporting 3rd party POI proximity warning sounds in speed camera products.

As I use that feature on my current TT then I shall not be buying another TT when I replace it.

There may be plenty of users of TT's on this forum, if so then posting TT's comments on other forums may spread the word about their new closed policy. Perhaps if their sales drop because of this they may change their minds 

People use the proximity warning sounds for more than just the safety cameras, so this is just stupid.
