I read that ex- PM Bob Hawke has died.
I can only see this as the last nail in Scott Morrison's hope for re-election.
Morrison has spun the 'only Liberals can control the economy' line , as usual.
However, electors will be reminded, 2 days out from voting , that the Hawke - Keating team was financially the most progressive government we have had since WW2.

Yeah, and Shorten milked it for all it was worth in his public announcement. The sniveling little creep... :disapp:
Come Saturday night or Sunday if Shorten succeeds and the first thing he does is look up to the left, rubs his ear and sounds like this, we know what really went down.I read that ex- PM Bob Hawke has died.

Immaculate timing. ? Could that have been Bob's intention? :goodjob2: :goodjob2: :goodjob2:

I'm not too sure that Hawke's departure will achieve anything much more than show how much less Shorten is.Irrespective of political leanings, we have to admit that Shorten is all we have.

While in Poland, I made a detour to Warsaw. :disapp: My mission was to go to the Oz Embassy and (vote) aka drive a stake through the heart of my evil local member_ Peter Dutton.
A few days later Keating was advising Dixon voters to do just that. :goodjob2: :victory:
Dutton is a nasty piece of work, Ive had few battles with him in local media, once face to face. Then why do we not see your name on the Ballot?
Incidentally, I as a life long non- partisan, self employed, bloke I vote for the best man, labor lib or Green.
The danger in voting for the best man is that party politics can remove him before he can deliver. Some thought needs to be given to the party behind the man, to anticipate what you get without him.
* 'man' is used as a general term for any person. I can't invent terms for the ever-growing subset of LGBTIDONTKNOWANYMORE

Best "man " for the Libs was Mal, closly followed by Julie.
Not long now till our gov is ...............
And, WE'RE OFF !!!
If one is welded to a Party, he is of no use to the country,Don't know about 'no use' but I get your sentiment. I have no party allegiance, and I don't think it's the uniform that does that. I decide at every vote - one vote, but it's mine, not a party's. Sadly, we have those who will be lifers one way or the other regardless of the debate. Nuff sed, no more from me on politics - I hate gas bagging about it.
Even as a "non labor" voter, I find that Dutton unpalatable (he looks like the Grim Reaper to me!)
Dutton is a nasty piece of work
Yep.
New Labor leader coming up.
I know you guys are obliged to vote, but does that really have to include children
Mate, join me at the wake. Whiskey and Nembutal? :whistler:Yep.
New Labor leader coming up.
Yep, absolutely correct. Will they go for Wong, Pleb's , Bowen or a newbie? ?

Always liked Wong, she has Bishop's level of intellect and delivery.
Im appalled to have Dutton back near me, :disapp: :disapp: :disapp: :disapp: :disapp: glad to see Abbott get just deserts ( not before time)..
Lacklustre Shorten has always been a thorn in my side, but I thought, under current circumstances, the 'Corpse of Hitler' could beat Morrison . :Ouch:
Enigma exists to NZ. :blubber:
