There are to many angle lines at the front, a bit over the top IMO as is the ix35. It might look better in another colour.Inside looks good.

Bump....

My M8 that talked me into an i30CRDi in the first place knows I'm pretty keen on the new Diesel Sonate (i45) due out in the next few months..

He just sent me this link (which is Kia's equivilent) he reckons it would probably be even better value than the i45 and he personally likes the styling better... I disagreed saying it looks a bit bland in comparison and while re-sale values (and image) for Hyundai have improved considerably over here in recent times, Kia are still perceived as a budget brand...

Personally, I think the Kia's BOTH look better !

The iX35 is a bit...  "mum dropping the kids off" looking, that Kia Sportage looks more Blokey !

And the new Magentis....    Passat or what?  With a BETTER engine if it gets the R series Dieso.

Because I am probably going to wait til early 2011 before updating my car I told my M8 I will check the magentis out (the dealer that sells Kia in Tasmania tends to be more realistic with trade in allowances than the Hyundai dealer..) Although I will probably try and sell my i30 privately (even if I decide to go another i30...)

They are both very nice, however I think it would take me some time to appreciate the "wide mouthed frog" grilles :)

It appears that Sonata hybrid will differ a bit from the gasoline-powered version. As you can see from the early teaser image, the 2011 Sonata hybrid car features completely redesigned front-fascia, incorporating fully re-shaped grille, new set of head-lamps and sportier front bumper with larger air intake and slightly updated fog-lights.
