Beautiful weather for the weekend so took a drive up into the hills to John Forest national park.

Started at John Forest Tavern for lunch where we were greeted by many guests.
A mob of Roo's relaxing in the shade next to the Tavern

A Twenty Eight Parrot eating a chip in the trees next to the Tavern

A pair of Ducks hanging around our table

John forest falls

Was looking for a Marron for dinner :D

Stiil in the same park but we walked up to Hovea falls

With all the rain over the last few weeks and the sunshine finally breaking through we had some lovely wildflowers in bloom

Finished the afternoon of at Mundaring Weir Hotel

Came across another mob greeting us at the entrance to the hotel

A very inquisitive mother and joey (half hanging out of pouch) moved in for a closer look with a pink and grey Galah checking out what's going on from the back row

Will do :goodjob2:

Was a good day, haven't been there since I was a child.

Spewing I wasn't paying attention when our meals were brought out at John Forest Tavern, a Kookaburra swooped in a stole a chip right off my plate  it would have made a great photo :)

We lived over the road from John Forrest National Park before moving down to Pinjarra.
Some familiar sights there.  :goodjob:

Great photos. Perth and surrounding area is quite beautiful. I often take it for granted, and should take more time out to enjoy.
