Hello, i have a 2011 i30 comfort, my question relates to the central locking.
After any journey I get out the car, but the rear door will not open via external door handle, press button to unlock on drivers door or on the remote & they unlock, front doors are not affected, is this a feature.
Car is UK model & does not have auto lock setup.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the club.. I like your moniker (very clever)  (I assume you have the CRDi)

Haven't heard of this occuring on cars without Halo activated.. Maybe the child proof locks are engaged on the back doors and are confusing the locking mechanism..

That was quick, I can confirm child proof locks are on, will try with them off.
Car only 2 days old, but loving it.

There are members who live and breathe this site and think more of this than their partner (Ouch.  Just been hit over the head by the missus)

I also find this happens. Some times they are locked, other times not, very odd

I do have HALO set to ON, but child locks OFF.

Problem resolved, kids where manually locking doors from inside, they think the switch is great, i don't.

So many smart inclusions (in our cars and life in general) these days... causes so much confusion. In the old days, it would have been obvious that if the door cannot be opened, it was locked.

These days, you need to ask "the world" why the door cannot be opened. I mean no derision. Just an observation.

My 5.5 year old has started doing this too

I agree, I get "What's this switch for daddy?"
"Your window"
"It's not working"
"I know"

Yes my 2 year old has discovered the lock and window switches too. The HALO, child locks and window lock are very useful. Still haven't worked out the full logic of the central locking though, "double clicking" the remote usually does the trick if the doors don't open.
