US Module

Hi,
I want to put an US-module inside my car but,
I need to find the wire that powers the turn-signals. It has to be as close to the headlights.
Does anyone know which one??

Can't help with your query but can you explain the purpose of a US Module.
From a quick Google and a look at a couple of Youtube vids it appears to give you more control over the Turn signals? Turn them all on at once, turn them up or down in brightness and make them flash like a Hazard Flasher does?

a US Module is an electric relay that makes your turninglights burn constantly for 30%, and when you turn on for example the left one.
The lamp burn 100% -> 30% -> 100% and so on.
I need the wires from the turninglights, i have to cut them threw an connect the module between the wires.
Problem is that the wires aren't connected separetly but on 1 connector to the lampunit.

The only way I can think of without having a reference manual handy, would be to remove all other bulbs except the turning lights and then use a multimeter to see which wire(s) are conducting to earth. Use the OHMS setting & there should be a measure of resistance which would be the bulb filament. If it's 0 then you're grounding directly to earth, which would be a bad thing. This device is illegal in Australia, the cops would have a field day if you tried that over here.

Do you have a friend who might know how to use a multimeter. Otherwise you will need an auto electrician. It is not a good idea to do this in modern cars unless you have good knowledge of electrical wiring. You could damage other components, like the ECU, fuses, flasher device etc.
May I ask why you want to do this.

Good luck with that.
Can you put your country flag on your profile so we know where you are from.

I've still no idea what a US module is needed for.

II guess there isn't any NEED for it, but I have previously seen this function in some US movies. Often wondered why different countries adopt different standards, who knows.
