I had to get my front seats steamed cleaned well over a year ago (leaky salad dressing container :head_butt: ) and since then, my seats look disgusting, like they’re faded in patches and look as though there are permanent water stains.

Any suggestions?

Wow, that's awful. They mustn't have done a very good job. Either they didn't get all the spillage out or they have left some of whatever cleaning products behind.

The way I see it you have two options. Try and find a car detailer with excellent reviews and get an opinion/quote from them on sorting it and/or buy some nice seat covers.

Good luck with it.

Real wash might have been better than steam cleaning. Salad dressings have usually oil in them. Might want to wash the seat with some fairly agressive soap, that works with grease and oil. Or take it to some place like dazz said. Good chemicals and right tools should make those like new again.

I've had guite a good run with pine oil based soaps. Stubborn stains have disappeared and they don't usually smell like chemicals. Also environmentally friendly.
