Hey Team,

I have a PD i30 SR/NZ Limited 2018, just started to notice that the interior map lights start to flicker at engine idle. The only way for them to no longer flicker is to put some revs into the engine and it stops.

Have had the battery tested and it is still at 100% health. So not too sure what the next steps are and the dealer is not being entirely helpful.

Strange behaviour from such a new car. It's not the battery because at idle the alternator should be providing the power and charging the battery. Look more closely at the quality of the voltage generated by your alternator. The level or filtering may not be as it should be.

Consider measuring the voltage you're getting at an affected light. We can then discuss whether the figure indicates a problem.
