Does anyone know what is supposed to be in the bottom of the hyundai i30 2011 front centre armrest storage box?

I had honestly never taken notice, but when I got my car back from the detailer last week the inside of it was missing - right in the bottom - and now i can see all the wiring when I look down into my storage box!

I want to buy one and charge the detailer for it, but I don't even know exactly what it is! I have seen the parts list, but that doesn't tell me anything.

My hubby is probably going to kill me (figuratively speaking), so if anyone can help that would be great...

 :head_knock: :blubber:

:welcumwagon: Sorry I can't check ours (we now have a series 2 version)

Surely you shouldn't have to secure a replacement (or get in trouble with your other half!)

I would just go back to the dealer and explain what happened. If the have an equivalent model on display in their 2nd hand yard have a little (discrete) peek in that first to see what you are missing...

Good luck!

There should be a rigid plastic cover that hides access to the handbrake adjuster.

Maybe it has just slipped down the side of the centre tunnel?

It was the detailer, Dazz.  :)

My daughter had a similar issue with her "Accent".
We assume it disappeared when she had it serviced but as she didn't realise it was gone for quite some time after she was never 100% sure if the dealer had misplaced it or not. .
The dealer of course denied responsibility...  :(

Does anyone have a part number?

Get a black carpet tile and cut it to shape - it'd probably be better than the original anyway.

I agree. Recalling mine (car in storage since last October) it's nothing more than a thin carpet tile. You should be able to find a scrap piece anywhere near a Bunnings, Spotlight or upholstery workshop for probably nothing. You can add a nice tag to the egde to make it easy to lift out when required.

I did similar work with a thin piece of scrap black packing foam to create a soft and quiet base for the pocket in front of the power sockets under the Air Con controls. Any coins, keys or other bits there no longer slide or rattle. :victory:
