Not until the budget......Even then, the figures will be dodgy. They know their beaten, they will be looking not to be annihilated. So they will no doubt want to show their financial prudence, whilst hitting those who won't vote for them anyway.

I downloaded a free Partition Manager from Cnet Downloads and it found and formated that drive as NTFS.

It is now showing up fine on the computer. I will try it again with the Satellite receiver 2moro when Trish isn't watching TV.

Thanks for the suggestion :brilliant:

My Antenna guy is on holidays and free to air TV has been really patchy .. Sick of it  :fum:

So..I got another Guy around who will do a lot more than the first guy was going to do (satellite wise) for $1100..All new cabling and screw on connectors etc with exposed co-ax in conduit. He has done more than 200 installations in the last 6 months..

With this guy we will still have our antenna connection available as well.

He guarantees we will get very stable reception on both our big TV's (coming on Friday morning)  :happydance:

Ours has been like this for Nigh on 30 years, many moons ago we did get Foxtel, but I have gotten sick of paying for repeat after repeat,we got put onto a brilliant TV tech and arial man,he came out sort the whole thing for just on $300,best we have every received Tele up here and I still have to pull the old arial tower down, don't ask me how but he has all channels crystal clear and on a small specialised arial. Oh I already had a arial booster and got him to put that up as well while he was doing the fix

Our satellite isn't Foxtel Ric it's VAST (free to air) so no ongoing costs although the dish looks the same as Foxtel/Austar use.

I have two Antennas and two boosters and had several guys come and have a fiddle with my equipment  but none could get it as stable as it is now with the Satellite set up  :goodjob:

What's the reception like now Dazz,

This has given me an idea for my parents, who live in the Gold Coast Hinterland and reception has been rubbish forever....

and since their pensioners, I'm hoping the Government will give them a handout.....Before the cash runs out.

$12 Bn Hole, I think it already has  :'(

Perhaps we can just add another levy so that no one can say they haven't been screwed.

You do call a spade a spade.  (But I like you for that  :D).
I've been a staunch Liberal man for all my life and I can't wait until September 14th. Bring it on.
Every time Labor leaves office the Libs have to pay down debt and can't properly govern in their own right because of reckless spending by Labor.
But I have to say that this particular government has outsripped all that has gone before and has taken Australia to the brink of disaster.
When Labor took over power, nearly all national debt had been paid off and there was $60 billion in the Future Fund.
It has all been spent (a lot of it overseas) and this country is having to borrow more money every month just to pay the interest bill. Literally.
It is a disgrace.
The worst PM in Australia's history IMO and that is saying something.
I feel for our kids and grandkids because of the massive debt this govt has allowed to develop.
An absolute disgrace.  :fum:
To think that she is going to get $150,000 per year for the rest of her life is disgusting. She should hang her head in shame.
Rant over.

Trouble is Abbot's not the right dude for the job either. Turnbull's the richest pollie in politics & lives in a world of his own, can't relate to the average Australian. With a very difficult economic legacy to inherit, I doubt the Libs know what to do this time. There is no outstanding economic talent in their ranks. IMO bring back Costello.  :undecided:

I agree with the Costello bit.
I think he was a great treasurer even though Waynus Swanus thinks he is the world's greatest treasurer.
I don't mind Tony Abbott personally. I think he is just misunderstood.
I don't like Turnbull, too left wing for me.
But regardless of who is the PM, at least we will have the Liberal policies and values which aren't always right, but they're more right than left if you know what I mean.
And Julie Bishop as deputy (a good West Aussie) isn't a bad thing either.

A lot don't like Costello, but I heard him speak at a Press Club Function about the future fund, it made a lot of sense and even then, he was forecasting a shortfall due to the health needs of an ageing population and the immediate need to increase it. Now it's all spent, we're on borrowed money, with a nice announcement of 12 Bn shortfall. Gillard's as good as a man short.  :Ouch:

As somebody once told me (only yesterday in fact): You have a Liberal Government until you can't stand them, then a Labor Government until you can't afford them.

This is so true,I have a very simplistic veiw of polotics, they ARE ALL Tarred with the same brush, their all lying theiving basteds, their only issue though trying to convince us,is to look after their own pockets.
Even more simplistic, yes Labour spends far more than they can generate, but they do attempt to look after the working man and keep large businesses in line, but that is very simplistic, there is far more to it than that.

My take on liberal, yes they get the country out of debt and create surplus, but unfortunately they do it mainly at the cost of the small man and tend to take very good care of big business,Oh and they love selling government assets, which in fact used to be very big cash cows for any government.

It was a  disaster when the democrats folded, thought they would never have been able to get the votes to govern in their own right, they did have the knack of keeping whichever government in line.

But BOTH parties, need to start looking after Australia and Australians instead of all these half arsed broke countries.let them sort their own problems out, unfortunately it is all but a huge chess game, greasing palms and taking kickbacks, staying in favor with everyone.

But the Idiot womans comments the other day, comparing Australia's budget and finacial problems to the average bloke called John home budget, just had me absolutely gob smacked, how this import became PM is beyond me.

As for her retiring on a full parlimentary pension of her current wage,is like all past PM's who are all recieveing pull parlimantary pensions, all indexed, once they retire from government, they should be like the rest of us,if they go and work for someone else,no pension,if they don't and have over the allowed assests they should be like us made to live off those assets,if they have no asset(cough cough) they should only get a pension the same as we do when we retire and be forced to live in the real world like the rest of us.

In summary they are ALL just theiving, scheming lying sons or daughters of female dogs,my major rant over.

I think that the parliamentary superannuation regulations are long overdue for reform.
I agree that they need to be brought back into the "real world."
However, I am one of those rare individuals who thinks that our politicians, and particularly our senior front-benchers, don't get paid enough.
The income they receive whilst working is pathetic for what they are expected to do and does not equate to that of a CEO of a major corporation in the private sector.
I believe that needs to be rectified. Pay peanuts and all that.....
It is after they leave that I have a problem with. Their benefits are truly out of this world.

Well, she was "educated" at Unley High, in Adelaide, so that explains a lot. :head_butt:

Pay peanuts, well we've certainly got our monkeys.

CEO's of major organisations are also way over paid.
