As many already know, my brother passed away a few months ago.
To cut a long story short I've ended up with his Suzuki Burgman scooter (plus a shipload of other stuff).

While it's not my choice of 2 wheels, it's still fun to ride and hey, it's better than not riding at all!  :goodjob2:

Cheers mate, I'd just been thinking that it must be coming up to school hols in Tasmania...lol

I really miss changing gears and the riding position isn't really to my liking but it's still fun to ride.
It's no ST or FJR1300 but at the end of the day it will still cruise at 100-110kph, even two up.
Oh, and it has a huge amount of storage under the seat, just what you need for the weekly shop...lol

I've done a couple of mods on "Ingrid" since I've had her...

First up was a K&N air filter...
I also dropped the engine oil out, swapping over to a K&N oil filter and some decent Penrite synthetic oil.
I swapped the under seat storage light globe with an led replacement.
The hydraulic lift arm on the seat had weakened and wouldn't hold the weight of the seat so I found a suitable replacement on ebay...now I just hit the switch and the seat raises automatically...  :happydance:

No gears? So is it automatic or ?

I'm aware of the Burgman 200 and the Burgman 650, but does that say Burgman 400?   :undecided:

Just checked the Suzuki website though and it's not there. Just the 200 & 650.   :undecided:
Maybe I need to get my eyesight checked because I'm not sure it says 400 in the pic.

Thats a very nice looking scooter, much better than the Lambretta I had as  a teenager. Mind you that was a long time ago. Just made me remember  that every time my girlfriend ( now my wife ) got on the back of the Lambretta it would go about 500 yards and it would cut out. Took me a long while to find out her dress would go over the air intake at the rear of the saddle. I did make a  suggestions to fix the problem but she would not agree to it.  :disapp: :snigger: Traded that in for a BSA 500 twin. :goodjob2:

Not sure when they discontinued the 400....bit of a shame but there you go, most people still believe size is important which, I guess is why the 650 is still available...lol

By the way, Ingrid is 9 years old...  :D
