This is a small sunday DIY.
I’m the second owner and the previous one messed up with the steering wheel. Today I decided to try out the glue method by same Youtubers.
A few holes on the top

Fill it with super glue and sand down with 1200

Mark and paint

Outcome. Not too bad and I’m happy with that.

It'll be interesting to see how it weathers. For the SLX which is black, I've tried using raven oil and then clear from Mr Minute or waproo hi shine sealer . not quite the hi gloss finish of the original but at least it's black and somewhat sealed. I wipe down the leather wheels and keep them clean. I think all the skin oils and gunk breaks down the clear over time + UV.

That was an interesting project. What sort of paint did you use?

What's his computer operating system have to do with his steering wheel? :undecided:

Little update: after a sunny week, the glue cracks and doesn't hold very well to the surface anymore. The paint is still in good condition. So I probably find another solution then.

Sorry to hear that. Thanks for the heads up. :goodjob:
