I've had my i30 around 2 month and still love it.....but the leather/(possibly soft touch paint) on the steering wheel has start peel on.

When it's a clammy day and I turn the wheel I tend to put the base of my palm at the top of the wheel and spin the wheel now this has caused the wheel to peel and now looks awful.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix? Or should I just buy a steering wheel cover?

Thanks

Hi, It is a warranty fix (if you still have warranty) otherwise a cover might be best.

I had a Getz leather wheel replaced under warranty and a few members on here have had their i30 wheels replaced. Usually earlier in their ownership though. If it is a manufacturing defect it usually shows up fairly early. So, they may consider yours as wear and tear. Certainly worth asking though.
