AS in topic. I have a chance to wash my car properly today and have spotted this :

this one is the biggest one and few smaller ones. Spotted about 5. I did try cleaning it with everything possible but they are not coming off ;/
I have spotted one on rear bumper which is plastic so I thought this one will come off but no. So maybe its under clear coat but what could it be ;/ any Ideas?

Hi Aparat, I think I'd be off to see my dealer if Warranty is still on the car.

Seems very odd  Doesn't look like something caused by bird droppings (for example) :undecided:

How big are they?  How many cms long do you reckon that one is?

I don't know what the go is in blighty as far as paint warranty is concerned but here in OZ Hyundai have this to say:

Quote
• Exterior Paint Durability and Finish - 36 months / 100,000 km*
Excludes defects defined as scaling, surface rust, blistering, scab, corrosion and fading that may result from insufficient or im-
proper maintenance or care.
• Exterior Paint Application Defects - 12 months / Unlimited km
Paint application defects will be considered to be overspray, low gloss, mismatch, mottling, cloudy, runs, fish eye, pin holes, slow
drying, thin paint, waving, tape mark, touch mark, polishing/sanding mark, touch up, dust or dirt in the paint.
Note: Warranty does not apply for paint defects arising from stone or similar chipping, tree sap, hail damage, windstorm damage,
chemical/industrial fallout, salt spray, bird/animal droppings, or any other environmental condition.

Looks like a defect in the original paintwork to me.  Hopefully they'll be able to fix it properly under the warranty. Though it may be difficult if the mark is deep in the paint - can they match it exactly ?

Doubt if I'd notice it if buying the car second-hand.  If buyers do notice then try selling to short people.

You make a good point diablo.. but my money is on this scenario (from previous experience)

"Oh those little defects are nothing, don't worry about them" until you go back to the same Dealer to trade it 2 or 3 years later... " could have given you more but those marks on the duco will need to be repaired at a cost of big $$$ or we won't be able to resell it"  :whistler:

When I read this topic heading I assumed the stains were on the roof lining. And I was gonna make some smart comment.  :-[
But,  carry on. :whistler:

Same here, Dude. Something like spending too much time in the car and losing control. :whistler:

So I have been to do service and reported it. They looked at it and according to them previous owner touched it with something because you can see scratches so its not warranty job ( trust me we looked at it when I went to pick the car up and they might be right, I will keep my eye on it and they make a note as well )

At the other hand my service only cost me 103 Pounds :))) cant complain about it ;). It was first 10000 miles one with filer and oil being replaced :)
