 can anyone help  me!!
My rear view mirror for my 2008 i30 SX has come off and i can seem to  push it back on....anyone got any DIY fixes?
 its got a 4 pronged bracket that  a screw in the mirror is suppose to  push  back  into ...but no luck!

I assume it's your interior mirror. They are designed to break free in an accident rather than cause injury. I doubt it fell off, but I would try to drive the mirror into the housing by tapping with a rubber hammer on the mirror shaft. You won't be able to simply push it back, the spring is too strong.

We need someone with a workshop manual to check this out.

I've had my windscreen replaced twice... the second time I noticed the mirror simply slid off (downwards) from the glass section.

Maybe there's something left on your glass section that should be removed, then reattached to the mirror (rather than trying to force the mirror onto it)...?
