Wow, what a browse.

The mods on this forum need to get a grip on things like thumper well before they get out of hand.

I'll be picking up my new i30 SX Diesel in late Jan, 2011.

The ECU remap is close to the top of the list but there are some others I'd like to share.

I've been in just one other car forum where things got dominated by a few stomping on others as seems to have happened here.

I hope to be a welcome member, but one stomping, and I'm gone.

Beekster, welcome aboard but who on earth is thumper?

Edit: I just searched "thumper" and it would seem he was around a couple of years ago. I've been here for over a year and have to tell you it is by far the most courteous and considerate group of forum people you'll ever meet.

Thumper last active November 29th 2009. Just about when I joined.
Bit of a shame, really. Looks like a passionate and devoted i30 owner.

Anyway, remember the printed word lacks facial expressions, vocal intonations and body language, so if you find something offensive to you, always remember there are two sides to every story. And we often write things quickly to get it all out before we forget (some of us are old. :twisted:).

  • 2009 manual sx hatch and 2009 automatic sx cw. both 2.0 petrol.

I don't think Thumper has been an active member here for a long time, and when he was my recollection was he was a valued member of the community, some of his posts have certainly been of use to me.

If you do feel you get stomped on then let us know, but generally this is a pretty open and friendly place.

That situation was the first of very few we experienced on here..they are sorted a bit more quickly these days..

If you have had a good browse you will see that the tone of this forum is generally warm and friendly.. and we hope to keep it that way.. :wink:

Welcome beekster, thumper was and is a respected member of our community and as in real life, sometimes arguments arise.....

Having said that the only stomping I have seen lately happens to be in this thread, I'll let you make your own mind up....
