Anything more than a sprinkle would bring the transport system to a halt here in the UK.

From chocolates to boiled lollies here too .. Really windy here last couple of days with showers..

Currently 7c (yes SEVEN) and very overcast .. I think the forecast is for 19c but not expecting much of a day..

sue called me just before and said she heard on the radio while on her way to work,Melbourne is expected to get 90kmh winds and damaging rain and hail.

the last 3 times the damaging hail has missed our house and work carparks by only a few kms,fingers crossed all's good.

While out today the temp guage on the car showed 13C.

I thought it was bust but by the time I got home it was down to 12.5C

I have taken a snow shovel out of a storage place in my flat and tomorrow I'm going to place it in the trunk.

I can't imagine living in a place where you just can't grab the key, get in the car and drive. How long does it take b4 you can drive away.

When we didn't have a garage for a few years we had at least 5 or 6 days a year where we had to de-ice the car after a heavy frost but no such hardship now

The climate changes, so you might once be lucky to clear your car from snow.
It takes me from 5 to 10 minutes before I'm ready to set off.

It's so warm here right now I'm not going to switch the electric blanket on - that'll save me a few bob.

Isn't it something to do with Mount Wellington blocking/diverting much of the weather?
As an aside, Hobart is the second driest capital city in Australia....
