Lousy weather today, foggy.

But allot of earthquakes, well only small ones, I don't feel them.
http://en.vedur.is/earthquakes-and-volcanism/earthquakes/

Most of them from a glacier volcano, last eruption was in 1821.
http://en.vedur.is/earthquakes-and-volcanism/earthquakes/myrdalsjokull/

About 10 days since it started, roughly 500 quakes a day

I spent all night trying to get as close as I could, the police had put up roadblocks in many places around the area so all I could see was the lights in distance.

videos from the national tv news.

According to the news the bigger and evil Katla volcano next by always erupts after this one

Quote
Volcanologists from the Icelandic Meteorological Office are relieved that today’s long-awaited eruption appears to be relatively gentle and did not cause flooding by melting glacier ice. However, they fear it could trigger a much more severe eruption at the nearby Katla volcano, which has a fearsome reputation for destruction.

The red dot shows location of current eruption.

well we just had another cyclone up here.

ahh no i was lucky and sat just under its most southern point. so all i got was some light gusts and rain thankfully. its always interesting though in the lead up to one, we have the disaster management stuff going on at work (local council) and all the bulletins on tv. ends up being a fizzer when cyclone decides to change course. Ului didn't end up causing as much damage as they expected but she was still pretty nasty.

I was driving back home from Uni, had the radio ON. The RJ said the weather in Darwin atm is a bit 'chilly' at 27C   . The only reason it was that low was because it had just rained.

If 27C is chilly then 15C is freezing :)
