Hello,
Anyone knows if there is any stock brake upgrade? (Ex: Santafe on the i30).

The only upgrade I know is this:
http://kspec.com/list.php?ac_id=191&ai_id=2981

Any other options?

try this
http://www.sharkracing.com/acecart/bin/shop.cgi?action=view&itemID=bigbrake1_6_1&cate=011900000

although that k-speckit does look pretty awesome!!

Note, you could go all out and put floating disks, race pads etc etc etc, but if you have hard tyres you won't brake a whole lot better.

Running Goodyear Eagle F1... can't go any better.

So..if you are thinking about putting in Santa Fe's brakes..don't
Probably the santa fé is ALOT heavier than I30.
I would like at least a 2pot caliper and a 305mm disc. Stock brakes are single pot and 280mm.

komaterpillar,
yep... also think the kspec look better.

I have seen that kit as well. I really would love to know what brakes they are using for this. I am sure you could get it from the dealer for way cheaper.

On my rally i30 we have 4 spot AP calipers and DBA Slotted NF sonata discs.  originally we had SBS brake pads but have changed to Pagids.  The Discs needed to be machined down in diametre because we run 15inch wheels on dirt and had trouble fitting the rims over the brakes.  Wheels are Braids.  On the Rear they are Standard Discs and Calipers with SBS pads.

At Targa in 2011 we started with new pads and discs on the front and they lasted the week out which I thought was pretty good.

When we first started competing in the i30 back in 2010 the brake balance front to rear was not that great, the fronts kept wanting to push (understeer) and we looked at caliper upgrades using OEM calipers but had no luck finding ones that would just bolt up to the std caliper spacing.  we were going to look at changing piston diametres for the std rear calipers also but never got far down that road.  in the end the change to Pagids fixed the issues we were having with the fronts.

Kevin Gavin from Specialised Brake and Clutch in Penrith NSW did our brake conversion including ADR braided hoses.
Cheers Mick

No problem... But EBC didn't have them for the I30/Ceed.
I had to use the Hyundai Tiburon model No. (EBC GD1257). From what I've seen, the diameter, offset and width are the same, so... they should fit. :)

Do those dimples and grooves actually work, has to reduce the surface area a bit

But they look great.  :goodjob2:
