Just driven the car from UK to Spain and back, round trip of 2.660 miles
and wow what a car, average mpg for the whole trip 60.4mpg, (4 up and loaded to the gunwhales)
drove like a dream, 80mph at 2500 revs in 6th,
headlights (standard, although beam converters fitted),
were great,
comfort great, even the passengers in the back commented on the comfort of the seats.
best wing mirrors Ive ever had on a car, the all round vision is brilliant.
I love it more than the wife. (only joking)
lets hope it continues.

You seemed to have got more out of the i30 than you expected!!!

How did "being on the wrong side" effect the handling of the car as it's not set up for "right hand lane" driving

ps I take it having such a brill ride there and back you and your passengers were not fatigued so you arrived fresh at your destination.

Forgive my scepticism - but how on earth did you get 60 mpg with a fully loaded car which you sometimes drove at 80 mph.  I assume you quoted the trip computer figure - you need to get it fixed..... :winker:

Yes Alan that is from the trip counter,
however i filled up in UK, and only had to stop for fuel twice each way.
While i was down there the Spanish did reduce the motorway speed limit to 110km pH,
so the trip back was slower, however i was amazed at the fuel consumption as the gauge didn't go down very fast
at all.( i even commented it was running on fresh air)
Mind you, i did get flashed by a french speed camera, hope they dont talk to the English lol.

And Eye30 it handled no different than on the LHS of the road,
I was knackered but the passengers slept a lot of the way,
i left Spain at 8pm and drove all night, and all the next day until 5.30 pm, got a hotel for the night in France, then
left 7.45am and got to channel tunnel at about 1.15pm.
we did stop for dinner and a few coffee breaks though.

Good job private cars aren't subjected to max driving hours for a break

Interesting that the camber didn't cause any effect on the handling

The i30's setup is symmetrical, it's not NASCAR.

that's right Lorain, it drove no different,

and Eye30, i am a bit of an insomniac, if it wasn't for the passengers i would have driven all the way,
i have done it in one go many times before, It only takes 24hrs.
(Less on my motorbike lol).
I dont know how accurate the car mpg meter is, but around home i normally only get about 45-48 mpg,
but driving to Spain  it was much better than i thought it would be, as i only refuelled twice each way.

Cartagena.
Have to spend time admiring the clothes & "waiting" in Zara's Haberneras or Jewellers shop in Carrefore :faint:
Mud wrestling in San Pedro del Pinatar flats.
Yep, know your area well after 10 years visiting.
Hyundai main agents next door to KIA main agents in Torrevieja, seen more i30's on each return visit.
