Well, the wheel alignment has been done. The i30 is straight as a nail.
The steering wheel is also correct.
I was able to switch off the ESP light with the switch on the dashboard.
I have not tried to turn it on (that the display shows “ESP off” with the slipping car in it).
In the garage where they aligned the car, they also found one stabilizer link at the backside which was worn out. Gives the ‘knock knock’ sound.
Immediately ordered two new ones to replace both sides.
Step by step the Hyundai will be better.
As my daughter and wife mainly drive this vehicle, it better be safe.
So, on the repair or to-do list:
1) replace links at the back
new oil and filter (hopefully the rattle noise above 2000rpm will go down. I think it is the time chain. The garage advised me to replace the oil every year or 15.000 km)
2) New fuel filter
3) New interior filter
As there is no history available, I replace them.
To be continued
