No more 3 door either, but apparently we are going to get an updated Tourer later in the year.

I don't think the 3 door was a big seller so probably no great loss...

It would have been a huge seller with a turbo version.

Possibly so but Aussies really don't seem to be a big lover of 3 door hatches...  :undecided:

Not true, Mitsubishi - Mazda - Suzuki - Holden - Ford - Alfa Romeo - Fiat - Mercedes's - BMW all sell very well here with their 2/3dr vehicles here, the only thing that held back the Hyundai i30 version was it was under powered for it's size ( something I'll fix when out of warranty :D )

:Jaw: 8.8L/100Km........ I was getting beter (mileage 7.5 - 8.0) in my 9-year old Dodge Caliber, also 1.8 and 120Kg heavier. Unless the "prevailing speed limits" are 150+ kph or under 30 kph then that is terrible.

Another Australian review. (I don't think it's been posted on this

How many of those are top selling models?  :undecided:

You only have to look around to see 3 door hatches don't sell in huge numbers...

Then there's this, I know it's a few years old but it seems to support my statement that 3 door hatches aren't hugely popular....

Commiserations, Dave...  :whistler:

Oh, that's not very nice, Rusty.
Although, having not driven one before I got this, I do wonder how so many people in England get around.
It is so slow!
I thought the turbo must be asleep but apparently not.
I do like Discos though.
Especially the early 3 doors.
I can't help thinking that 4.4 P76 V8 in the engine bay would liven things up a bit.  :D

I never said they were top selling models, I just expressed they sold well and if they didn't then none of the manufactures would sell their 2drs here and the fact that I see thousands of them on the road goes to prove that, I forgot to add the VW's and Mini's to that list also :)

A 5 year old review doesn't mean didley squat :D many brands have released 2dr hatches since that was written.

  I love ute's :goodjob2:

We'd still be getting the 2dr i30 hatch if it weren't for our failing dollar, same reason we're not getting the 2dr i20 hatch either :disapp:

I just had a quick look and as far as I could see, neither Mitsubishi, Holden, Mazda, Toyota or Suzuki even offer a small 3 door hatch...  :undecided:
