Title: Cruise Control install
Post by: kroner on November 29, 2017, 04:08:13
Hi All.

I've been putting this project aside for years, but my intention was to wire cruise control on my 2009 FD CRDI i30.
as far as previous posts went, the CRDI, already has electronic throttle, and besides changing the clock spring, and adding the buttons all that was necessary was to run some cables from the ECU to the steering wheel.

but I can't find those posts anymore!!

anyone happens to have any information about this?
I believe the thread subject was DIY cruise control, or similar.

Hi kroner,  I did a quick search from 2008 to 2014 and there were 200 topics! If nobody else has any luck I'll try to narrow it down later...

Thanks mate.

I remember it was one of our European members.
He wired from the ECU to the clock spring, then he installed a new CC switch.

I actually ended up buying a new steering wheel with the controls for both radio and CC, as well as a clock spring.

Installed both, but jumped on the procrastinattion boat soon after :-)
