I noticed that occasionally, when I dip my main beam on my 2015 i30 Premium , the offside light stayed on main beam, whereas the nearside switched to dipped. The offside would then, maybe a second or more later switch back to dipped beam. However,  recently, the time delay has increased and sometimes it's a minute of more before the main beam disengages on the offside.

However, this doesn't happen every time, and on many occasions, it works as it should and both turn to dipped. The dashboard display always shows main beam is off.

Any idea what is going on here.

Thanks

Not sure for your model but try determining whether each light has its own relay circuit.
One may be sticking or sluggish more than the other.

Have you checked that the bulbs correct type, are seated correctly and all connections pushed tight.

If each main beam bulb has it's own relay, and they're identical, you could try swapping the relays over and see if it transfers the fault to the other side. If it does, it's probably the relay. Does the same thing happen if you flick the lever back to flash the main beams, with the headlights off?
