I know it's nothing compared to Thumpers achievements (or anyone elses for that matter) but today I filled up after draining my 3rd tank with 2500km.
The 1st tank (dealer supplied) got around 750km 5.9LHK (DTE 51km light on when it said 83km) 2nd tank (from Mobil) got 765 6.0LHK(DTE had been flashing about 3-5km before fillup, light on at 87kmDTE) and my 3rd tank which I just finished (from Caltex DTE 63km, light on 84km DTE) got 967.1, 5.6LHK!
I wasn't game enough to try for the 1000km. Unfortunately if I had filled the tank to the brim I probably would have made it.
Today I did fill it to the brim (got 56lt I think it was in) so we'll see how this 4th tank goes.
It hasn't really been voluntary running the tank this low, it just been something that's happened everytime, I prefer to fill up earlier and guarantee I don't stuff the fuel pump and prevent the problems that go along with running a diesel dry.
So here's to getting that 1000km!
