Hi all I'm looking for some info, my friend has the car now and she's delighted with it, she's just contacted me to say the heater fan isn't working, she's checked the fuse holder inside the drivers door but say's there isn't a fan fuse showing on the list of fuses, any idea if she's correct or where would the fuse be located, unfortunately the car came without a handbook, I'll be seeing her over the week end to have a look, thanks

Hi . I've created a new topic from your query as it isn't directly related to the thread you posted it in ;)

Hi Jaytee,
On my car it shows as the second bottom fuse on the column nearest the front of the car (A/CON SW 10A).
Has your friend checked the fuse box inside the engine compartment as well?

I'm looking for the location of the heater fan fuse, checked fuses inside drivers door but can't see heater fan on list of fuses, any help appreciated
-
AFAIK, there is a heater fan relay and as it is part of the Air conditioning circuit, look for A/C Fuses. There are fuse boxes in the engine bay as well check there. I've no idea what year or type of i30 your friend owns. It could be a fuse or the relay.

I have a 2008 diesel.
The fuse named A/CON at the fusepanel near the door, controls the cabin ventilator relay according to my owners manual.

Auto or Manual aircon?
As others have said, check the engine room fuse box.

Thanks for the replies, it's much appreciated, if I get a chance I'll have a look tomorrow, one thing I'm not sure about is removing the blade fuse, when I had a quick look a few days ago there was a yellow clip type device among the fuses is this used for removing the fuse

Yes :)

quick update, checked the 2 AC fuses inside drivers door and AC fuse in fuse box by the battery, all ok , I'm not sure how to check the 2 AC relays in the fuse box by the battery but the AC is working fine
-
So if the AC is working are you saying that the blower inside the car is working ok too.
-
Phil the AC works but the heater fan for blowing hot air packed up
-
The heater and a/c fan are the same fan. The climate control just changes direction of airflow to go through the a/c or heater.

Thanks for that bit of info, I'll pass it on to my friend
