Hi all new member and very pleased to find an owners club.
I have a 2009 i30 1.4 comfort petrol model. I need a complete front drivers suspension strut due to a minor accident. I am being offered one from a 2017 model on line many miles away. Would this part fit my car how do I find out before ordering. Many thanks in advance. Shiv

I doubt very much this would fit.
You need to find another FD model. ( 1st gen like yours).

I'd suggest you look on a website like www.partsouq.com (http://www.partsouq.com) and search using the VIN number of your car. Then you can get the Hyundai part number for the strut, then search for compatible replacements using that part number. I doubt what's being offered would fit your car. I don't know what damage your strut has sustained but if you buy a bare strut, you'd have to transfer some parts over like the coil spring and top bearing. As the strut includes the shock absorber it's recommended that both sides are replaced at the same time.
