I have found the normal horn on my GD i30 a little soft, probably because I had a set of airhorns fitted to my last car.

I am pretty sure that I can find room behind the grill for the compressor and horns, but where to take the power off the battery has me stumped.

Has anyone fitted a relay driven accessory in a GD?

All help welcome.

Jim.

I'm not able to help you but there's nothing worse than a soft horn so hopefully someone can.

Assuming you are familiar with auto wiring, there are +12V at the fuse box in the engine bay. I don't own your model so I can't be more specific. Use a multimeter to locate the correct terminal. The compressor uses a fair bit of juice, so wire the device with its own fuse and relay and do not involve any other fuses eg take your feed from the supply side.
