Title: Vibration thro' gear stick
Post by: eye30 on June 17, 2008, 19:26:21
Today when I stopped, engine ticking over at 800 rpm, and put into neutral I felt a vibration thro' stick.  When I put into 1st it disappeared.

I presume it is the engine vibration thro' cables or is it something else I should be concrned about?

Has anyone else felt this ?

Eye've not felt it mate.

Doesn't sound too serious, although as the selector forks are connected to the gearshift via steel cable it could be that the cables are still tight.

I dunno.

With 5 years warranty it wouldn't bother me too much

Hi Eye..

Just occasionally I get a bit of "resonance" through the wheel or gear lever... I have assumed it's just the nature of the Diesel engine...
