Hello all

Just purchased a 2013 i30 elite. Love the car, but i'm finding the seat base bolsters press into my butt a little too much (butt could probably be a little small, but lets not go there).

Anyone else find this? Do they squish down after a while?

Cheers

I think you'll find both you and the car will settle in to one another over a period of time.
Have you tried fiddling with the seat height and back angle?

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, seat angle and height are set well. And have a heap of leg room in this car too.

Just seems to be a little narrow inbetween the bolsters lol.

If it's anything like my occasional cycling, I'm screaming for a gel seat for the first couple of days but then don't notice any longer after that. Give it a little time and you'll probably forget. :victory:

The Gonz is correct .I put a post on here a while ago as my daughter was having a problem getting comfortable in her drivers seat. After some advice she ended up getting a memory foam cushion. This was discarded after a while.  She has got used to the seat and now has forgotten about earlier problems.  She now feels very comfortable. :goodjob2:

If all else fails, perhaps some lambswool seat covers would help.

Wouldn't they make the available space even more restrictive?

The softness of the wool is nice. Used to have them years ago in a Laser.

Yeah. My daughter had them in her previous  car.
But I think our poster has a problem getting down between the bolsters low down on the side of the seat back. If he adds the thickness of wool seat covers I think that will make things worse.

A little unusual, as the wide ranging shapes of our members usually report how good the seating is, including me.

Not a good Idea Phil, when we got Cyril, went out and got a very good quality set of LW seat covers, although very nice to sit on,they actually raise you quite high in the car,Bruce on the other hand,I bought a cheap set of supercheap seat covers and we still fit snuggly and comfy in his seats

Hello &  :welcum:
Nothing that a few "Chocolately Claires" won't fix.  :D
As the others have said, I'd wait a while and see if you get used to it.

Just thought I would post an update. Please also note that these are the seats in the GD not the FD.

So I took the car to a auto upholster, They removed a 4" long by 2.5" metal rod from within each side bolster! They were located right where I was getting sore.

They also lowered the foam on the side to make the seat flatter.

So much more comfortable now. Happy days.
