After 12+ weeks of waiting my new i30 has arrived. A manual SLX Crdi was waiting for me at Cessnock Hyundai in the Hunter Valley recently and it looked great. Delivery went very smoothly and I was in and out in around 25 minutes. I chose to buy it without any accessories fitted so I'd have something to do when I got home, other than sit and admire it of course. Floor mats, mudflaps front and rear and some interior chrome dress up items from ebay went straight on, with window tinting and a rear spoiler going on a few days later. I thought I'd wait until I had a few more klm's up before I fitted my tuning box, but I'm looking forward to seeing what changes it makes. But so far, the car goes like a train and I'm very happy with it. Oh, and a BMW mechanic looked at it today and said the panel gaps and overall finish is superior to the BMW 1-series....suffer in yer jocks, Beemer Boys!

Well done. Looks awesome. I am very jealous. I am still awaiting my SX crdi with same specs. Your machine reminds me that I made the right choice.

I took the i30 over to Coolah (central NSW) this weekend. It averaged 5.6 L/100klm , which is not bad considering it's only got 1800 klm's on it and I was shuffling along at a fair rate of knots at times.

Nearly as dusty as mine.. good work.. (I'm sitting on 5.4 at the moment .. that's about the best average I can get down here out of a tankful of mixed driving - but I'm happy)  :D

Ha ha, my Dad's old Austin has seen better days for sure, but it is 60 years old after all....I wonder how my i30 will look after that amount of time?
