So tempting to get those sideskirts - got the spoiler already - right colour, too. :victory:
Apart from which, I think you'd look good in side skirts. :D:rofl:
Awesome... If it were me, I'd get some paint mixed up and put in a can and spray them myself.. if the match of colour is spot on you can get away with a handyman finish on low mounted skirts and spoilers (especially if you apply a clear coat after)
A man of your skills could do this Gonz! :goodjob:
Don't know why, but I always imagined you as GONZ 69. :undecided:Hmm...Thanks, I guess.
I'm glad you decided to raise it, the first set of photos showed that it would definitely scrape on the ground. :winker::rofl:
Is the rear spoiler painted?Yes, already HyperSilver as well (if you mean the high wing). :victory:
For the FD zealots, here's the doco on the sideskirts...

Welease the Pictowials!...Pardon the resuscitation but this is the neatest way to show what four sessions of light, patient spraying over a week has achieved. As spotty and uneven as the first coat seemed, it improves (or my technique does ) and now I'll just keep going for another week until the can is empty. Then I have a similar schedule of clear acrylic to go. Note that the black inserts have been covered with carefully sculpted masking tape. :victory:

Gee, that's REALLY doing it the hard way.
So, from the serial number on the rubbish bin we can work out which council it's from then make discreet inquiries to narrow it down to a specific address.
Mm.... :whistler: :D
Oh, I have a very classy range of Riojas dating from 1985 to the present day. :victory:
Shame you won't be in Adelaide anytime soon.

Because the registration plates make it too easy right? :whistler:
The 'take your pick' in the previous post is a link, in case it's not obvious. :rolleyes:Now get em on there
By the way, I haven't shared that the kit failed to include the mounting hardware or instructions for the rear skirt, despite the seller 'apologising' by email and then promptly ignoring any more of my emails or calls.
I asked Cruiserfied to please look into what might be available from Hyundai and he came through like a champ. My thanks to him for that little bit of 'lifesaving' in sourcing the PDF mounting instructions, not only for the rear skirt, but for the front skirt as well, beating scanned quality.
These are available here, or perhaps there's some space on the server where they'll be safer eventually.

That looks really good! Did you just do that with a rattle can? I'm impressed might just have to do my side skirts myself then. Did you use a primer first? No primer, just a couple of cans of the right shade made up at Super Cheap along with a couple of cans of standard clear coat for later.
Thanls, guys. Now I have to find a way of getting the mounting brackets for the rear skirt. My web enquiries to the dealer network seem to be ignored. :blubber:I'll check the part numbers on Monday if i remember.

Couldn't you just use 3M double sided tape.. ?If I could do that I would just bolt through the existing holes. The mounting consists for 2 pairs of standoffs (z-shaped metal brackets) to put the skirt at the right height. :Pout:
What happens when you turn 64 though? :undecided::rolleyes:
Sorry Gonz those part numbers for the brackets don't exist in Hyundais system. Thanks, mate. There's what I eventually got back tonight. Seems you both found the same result. That leaves me with a bit of guesswork making up my own brackets.
The brackets look fairly straight forward.

No, Gonz said he'd have to bend them.

Spooky! I was going to say that but thought it might sound a bit silly... :snigger:
GS would be better - Gonz Special. :D :goodjob:That reminds me of an aluminium sticker I photodeveloped while I worked at Rod Irving Electronics just before joining the RAAF. I was driving my first car, an HQ wagon, and I intended to replace the centre grille Holden logo with the letters FG. I think it's still sitting in the shed somewhere.
FG - and now it's a Ford. :) :faint:
