Could be the drop links or other ball joints in the suspension, but then I would also expect it to happen when driving over speed bumps etc.

Is it just a single knock you can hear? If you start to brake and hear the knock and then release the brakes and reapply them, does the knock reoccur?

it could be the pads not fitting in the calliper properly,or you've not done up one of the callipers .

Awfully low mileage to be replacing pads.
Were they worn out?
Did you keep the old ones?
If so, I'd be re-fitting them for a test.

Then I think it's the brakepads not fitting correct.

Do you still have old pads to compare sizewise to the new ones..

Could you have misfitted or forgotten one of those thin metalplates that keeps the pads in place..

Glad you got it sorted.. :goodjob2:

I replaced the rear brakepad on mine at 172.000 km with OEM parts, no problems. I think you've just been unlucky.. :undecided:

Hibs, it would be good if you provided feedback to the suppliers. Especially if you've used them successfully in the past. They'll most likely take it on board and make adjustments.
