I had about........................close to 40 channels preset. Started the car yesterday................................I'm down to like about 10.
What the eff??????????? No, battery wasn't disconnected.
-
Hmm...
Battery may be OK but there may have been a long enough disconnection in the path feeding the radio supply.
Did the clock lose a few seconds?

Did the clock lose a few seconds?
Yes it did. It's done that previously but never lost my presets.
Had it serviced about a month ago.
-
Did it again today………….how do I stop this from happening?
-
So it looks like the battery is dead. Went to start it this morning and it just ticks. Waiting for RACV.
I had it serviced maybe three weeks ago? Surely they would have checked the battery???

You'd think so.
But batteries have a nasty habit of failing unexpectedly. They can be fine and for no apparent reason one of the plates can buckle.

Like RACV said, car is 5 years old…battery possibly 6.
Just an expense I wasn’t expecting today.
-
Yeah. They're not cheap these days.
But make sure you get one with enough power to drive everything.

He did look up what I need for my model etc.
It was $325

Mine just went after a long drive back from Melbourne, 2016 installation. That's reasonable.
It's a 680 CCA in my model.

Radio presets went again this morning. Clock didn’t “flicker” like it did last time.
Suggestions?
New battery two months ago.
